Tác động sức khỏe và sự chấp nhận của chương trình hoạt động thể chất đối với người lao động thất nghiệp lâu dài tuổi cao

Thất nghiệp kéo dài có tác động tiêu cực đến cả sức khỏe tâm thần và thể chất. Khi kết hợp với lối sống ít vận động, tình trạng này thường dẫn đến các hạn chế về chức năng hoặc thể chất, làm cho việc tái tuyển dụng trong thị trường lao động trở nên khó khăn, đặc biệt là đối với người cao tuổi. Nghiên cứu thử nghiệm trình bày trong bài viết này đã nghiên cứu một chương trình can thiệp kéo dài 3 tháng nhằm cải thiện sức khỏe của những người cao tuổi thất nghiệp lâu dài về hiệu quả và sự chấp nhận của nhóm đối tượng này. Chương trình can thiệp với ngưỡng thấp được cung cấp bởi một trung tâm đào tạo nghề nhằm hỗ trợ tái tuyển dụng, bao gồm các buổi thuyết trình nhằm nâng cao năng lực sức khỏe cá nhân và một phần tập luyện thể chất có giám sát tại một trung tâm thể dục. Một trăm mười chín công nhân thất nghiệp lâu dài (53,7 ± 3 năm) đã tham gia vào một nghiên cứu triển vọng với 3 điểm thu thập dữ liệu: trước can thiệp (T1), sau can thiệp (T2, n = 94), và 6 tháng sau can thiệp (T3, n = 59).
